Kumite Bo 

Our Kumite Bo are made from top quality American White Oak or English Ash. It is possible for us to produce them from other woods but our research has found that this wood is best suited to Kumite practice. Japanese red Oak is still available in small quantity but is very expensive and the quality varies enormously in comparison to American White Oak. 

Compared to cheap alternatives such as Taiwanese Red Oak which are mass-produced and often full of filler, these Bo are far superior with a much tighter grain and better impact resistance.  Ideal for Kumite and with a lively action, these Bo represent the epitome of practicality. As with all natural products however, they need to be treated with respect initially until they have been seasoned to hard use.
